Harvest Weekend – 9th and 10th September

Our harvest festival weekend this year has an Indian theme.

In recent years 40,000 Indian farmers have killed themselves because of drought. On Saturday 9th September at 1900, we will look at the issues of agriculture and drought in India with an illustrated talk by Joy and Geoff Levine. The talk will be followed by an Indian meal and, hopefully, much discussion while we eat.

The all-age morning service on Sunday 10th September, led by Rev Joy Levine, will depict farming and harvest celebrations in Tamil Nadu – both Christian and Hindu.
